Biography

Recent winners of Music Network’s Young Musicwide Award, Seán Óg’s Trihornophone have been steadily carving a path all their own through the Dublin improvised music scene since their inception in 2004. Led by renowned composer and alto saxophonist Seán Óg this quartet boasts some of the busiest and creatively engaging musicians working in Ireland today.

Their music draws from a wide palette of influences, touching on European folk, mainstream pop and avant-garde giving Trihornophone an approach to contemporary jazz which draws the listener into a world sometimes familiar, sometimes foreign.
